This afternoon we cruised the Rhine river from Rudensheim and into the Rhine Gorge. This particular part of the Rhine River is very picturesque and boasts the most castles of any other part of the river. Truly, at every river bend, another castle hove into view. There were far too many to remember their names so I'll just show you the best ones and leave it at that.

Stone Boat |
This one is called the Stone Boat (for obvious reasons, it looks like a stone boat in the middle of the river and was used as a toll station to collect tolls from passing boats. I don't know the name of the castle in the background.

Marksburg Castle |
This one is called Marksburg Castle, and the reason I remember this one's name is because we got to go to it this evening for a tour and our evening meal!
